The reports have emerged following the assassination attempt on Donald Trump

Worrying information regarding Kate Middleton has been released by the FBI following the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.

The former US president's would-be assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, shot at Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, earlier this month (13 July).

According to the NPR, the FBI later seized two phones and a laptop from the 20-year-old's house after he was shot and killed following the assassination attempt.

The shooting left Corey Comperatore, 50, dead while two others were injured.

Cyber specialists then discovered that Crooks had also reportedly researched a number of other celebrities and key political figures along with Trump including President Joe Biden and Kate Middleton.

NPR reports: "Crooks had saved images of President Biden, Trump, Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray and Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales.

"He had also searched for dates of Trump speaking events as well as the Democratic National Convention. He also searched 'major depressive order'."

It is not yet clear why Crooks was researching Kate, who was the only non-American in the list of people found in his internet search history.

This was her first public appearance in almost a month amid her ongoing cancer treatment.

Before that, she was last seen at Trooping the Colour alongside her husband, Prince William.

Kate, who was joined by her daughter Princess Charlotte, took her seat in the front row of the Royal Box at Centre Court she was greeted with a standing ovation.

The mother-of-three has been undergoing treatment for cancer over the last six months after making the announcement back in March.

In the statement, Kate explained: "I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you, personally, for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding whilst I have been recovering from surgery.

"It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I've had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful."

She added: "We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment.

"My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery."
