Melania Trump has revealed exactly where she and her son, Barron, will live while her husband Donald is president.

Trump is set to have his inauguration ceremony next Monday (20 January) after being declared the 47th President of the United States following his election win against Democratic candidate Kamala Harris back in November of last year.

Speaking in an interview with Fox News that aired on Monday (13 January), the soon-to-be First Lady opened up about her and Barron's living arrangements.

She explained that she and her son would be splitting their time between three locations; Washington DC, New York City, and Palm Beach in Florida over the next four years.

However, she'll reportedly be making one of those three homes her main residence.

When asked where she'll be spending the most time once Trump is officially inaugurated, she revealed: "I will be in the White House. And when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York.

"When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach. My first priority is to be a mum, to be a first lady, to be a wife."

Melania was previously the First Lady from 2017 to 2021 during her husband's first administration.

She previously opened up about her transition back into the White House in her first sit-down since the election.

Speaking to Fox, the 54-year-old called the election result 'incredible'.

"It's incredible," she said about her husband’s win over Democrat candidate Kamala Harris. "And, we are very, very busy… I'm establishing my transition team. And also, working on my office, putting my office together, and also, you know, organising the residence and packing."

She added: "It's incredible what you need to do when in that situation."

Noting that this transition process is 'different' compared to the last one, Melania explained: "Well, this time is very different because we already know where we are going. And, we have all of the plans from before, so we don't need to go back in.

"My team is in contact with the White House, so, that's a plus. But we have all what we need."

Speaking of the White House, there's reportedly a little-known 'reason' as to why Melania and Donald, who will be the first convicted felon to serve in the presidential role, will sleep in separate rooms in the White House.

American journalist Michael Wolff published a book titled Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House back in 2018 that claimed the couple were the first to sleep in separate rooms at the White House since John and Jackie Kennedy back in the 1960s.

In the book, Wolff simply explained: "She is a loner. He is a loner. They’re perfectly happy to be separated."
