Nostradamus made four very eerie predictions for 2025

Nostradamus made four very eerie predictions for 2025

The 16th-century French astrologer continues to predict the future from his grave

Nostradamus made four extremely eerie predictions for 2025 and they're not what you'd expect at all.

Now, the French astrologer who was born in 1503 and died in 1566, was responsible for the text Les Propheties, which depicted his predictions in the form of poems.

It contained 942 predictions at the time of its publication in 1555 and was sneakily written in a mixture of word order in Latin, Provencal, Italian and Greek to avoid the Church’s wrath - four of which are supposedly set to come true just next year.

Volcanos and floods in Brazil

Now, according to the historical figure, some natural disasters are set to hit Brazil next year.

Nostradamus predicted: "Garden of the world near the new city, In the path of the hollow mountains: It will be seized and plunged into the Tub, Forced to drink waters poisoned by sulphur."

The 'Garden of the world' allegedly refers to the Amazon rainforest, while 'the new city' could possibly be the Brazilian capital of Brasilia.

Some reckon 'plunged into the Tub' suggests flooding, while 'sulphur' references

volcanic activity.

War and plague in Europe

According to Nostradamus, it's not just the continent of South America set to experience issues as he also predicted that Europe will see war and plague.

"When those from the lands of Europe, See England set up her throne behind. Her flanks, there will be cruel wars. The ancient plague will be worse than enemies," he wrote.

Some suggest that the mention of 'England' could be a reference to the country withdrawing into itself post-Brexit.

And with the ongoing war in Ukraine and genocide in the Middle East, some mystic-believers think the UK could be further involved in conflicts which could have implications at home.

Cosmic collision

Nostradamus also predicted an asteroid, known as the 'Harbinger of Fate', hitting Earth at some point in 2025.

He wrote: "From the cosmos, a fireball will rise, A harbinger of fate, the world pleads. Science and fate in a cosmic dance, The fate of the Earth, a second chance."

Allegedly, the fate of our very existence totally hangs in the balance based off this asteroid's apparently impending trajectory to our planet.

Some reckon this could be a reference to the Earth-sized asteroid named '2024 PT5', which is due to make a proportionally close pass us next year.

The rise and fall of the aquatic empire

And the final unsettling prediction Nostradamus made for 2025 is that horrendous floods will tear coastal cities apart and displace millions of civilians.

As government struggle to deal with the situation, the astrologer predicts a 'mysterious leader' will come from the sea and, with them, will bring an 'Aquatic Empire'.

Now, we all know about climate change with multiple studies showing that

global average temperatures are on the rise - something which increases the likelihood of more extreme weather across the globe.
