Rare clip of Barron Trump as a child leaves viewers in shock at his accent

A viral clip of Barron Trump speaking as a four-year-old has left viewers in awe.

Trump's only child with his third wife, Melania Trump, has largely kept out of the spotlight, however, he made his presence known during his father's inauguration for his second term as President of the United States on Monday (20 January).

It was the first time that American voters had gotten a real glimpse of Barron as an adult, and it turns out he gave his dad some pretty sound advice behind the scenes.

Trump praised his 'very tall son' - who is 6ft 9inch - at the ceremony, and credited him for helping him to win the youth vote.

According to Trump, Barron advised him which podcasts to be a guest on during his campaign, such as The Joe Rogen Experience, with the businessman saying his son 'understood the market'.

The 18-year-old was also seen shaking hands with his father's successor and predecessor, Joe Biden, at the ceremony, too.

However, he still remains somewhat of a mystery - though his personal tailor has revealed what he is like in person.

So a clip of a young Barron speaking naturally had people a bit shocked as it's clear from his accent that he's spent a lot of time with his mum.

The former model is originally from Slovenia, but moved to the US in 1996. The footage showed the little one getting ready for school, with both his mum and dad in the room.

Speaking with a thick Slovenian accent, he said: "I have to go to school now?"

To which Melania replied: "Yes, first you will have lunch and then you'll go to school."

Users were shocked by how different his accent is, taking to social media to share their thoughts.

One viewer said: "He sounds like his mom. You can tell she was a very involved mother."

Another said: "Did Barron speak with a Slovenian accent even though he was born and raised in New York because of Melania? That's pretty funny."

A third applauded the mum-of-one, adding: "She had all the money in the world to pass him off to a nanny, but she spent so much time with him that he sounded like her instead of anyone else in his life."

In an interview with Larry King in 2010, Melania revealed that her son could speak 'three languages'.

Donald added: "I think it's great, smart one."

All five of Trump's children were stood front and centre at his inauguration, with Barron even standing by his side as he was sworn into office.
