An American politician has come under fire for telling a British journalist to 'go back to your country' during a bizarre press conference bust-up.
Yesterday (26 March), Congresswoman and Trump supporter Marjorie Taylor Greene took part in a committee hearing on funding for public broadcasters.
During the event, the Republican was inundated with questions regarding this week's wild mishap, which saw a journalist be accidentally added to a government group chat about US war plans.
Minutes into the conference, Greene, from Georgia, was asked a question by British Sky News reporter Martha Kelner about air strikes on Yemen, in relation to the controversial group chat blunder.

After catching wind of Kelner's British accent, however, the Rep. suddenly began mocking the reporter.
"Wait? What country are you from?" she said, cutting 35-year-old Kelner off mid-way through her question.
"I'm from the UK," the journalist cooly responded, to which Green then hit out: "Okay, we don't give a crap about your opinion and your reporting."
She went on to ask Kelner: "Why don't you go back to your country where you have a major migrant problem? You should care about your own borders."

The journalist ignored the politician's attack and continued to press her, asking: "Do you care about American lives being put at risk?"

Greene then bit back, however: "No, no, no, let me tell you something. Do you care about people from your country?
"What about all the women that are raped by migrants. Do you care? Okay, you're done."

Maintaining her composure, Kelner continued: "Do you care about American lives being put at risk? About service members fighting for your country?"
"I don’t care about your fake news," Greene clapped back again before turning her attention to another reporter.
"Do you have a relevant question?" she asked the male member of the press. "This is an American journalist, thank you."
Surprisingly, the other reporter brutally responded, defending Kelner: "Yes, I’m an American and I’d like to hear your answer to what she’s asking."

A visibly agitated Greene then continued: "I'm not answering her question because I don't care about her network. If you would like to ask, I can answer it."
