Donald Trump has made a bizarre Mean Girls reference with his latest Elon Musk Tesla post and people can’t believe his account is actually real.
This week, the 78-year-old Republican leader, who has appointed Musk as senior advisor of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), made a massive show of buying one of the tech mogul's Tesla cars despite not actually being able to drive it.
Trump has since uploaded a flurry of posts about the purchase as he urges others to also 'show of confidence and support' to the multi-billionaire after claiming 'Radical Left Lunatics' were attempting to 'illegally and collusively boycott Tesla'.
On Tuesday (11 March) the joint POTUS and official White House Instagram shared a post which featured two photos.

The first showed Musk and Trump stood in front of a row of Teslas while the second saw the pair sat inside one smiling together.
However, it was the caption of the post which really caught the attention of people online.
"Get in, patriots—we have a country to save," it began, along with the American flag emoji.

It continued: "Elon Musk helps President Trump pick his new @TeslaMotors!"
You can't deny, the first part of the caption gives major Regina George vibes with her iconic 'Get in, loser - we're going shopping' line to Cady Heron in the cult-classic 2004 chick flick starring Rachel McAdams and Lindsay Lohan - something which fans are far from happy about.
One Instagram user hit out: "Don’t you dare quote the sacred scripture of Mean Girls. You can’t sit with us!"
"Did the White House account just make a Mean Girls reference cause what," wondered a second, while a third chimed in: "STOP TRYING TO MAKE MAGA HAPPEN, IT’S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!"

A fourth penned: "This account is a f**king joke now."
"What has this account become? This is wild!" agreed a fifth.
Pointing out a pretty major issue that Trump is endorsing Musk, who bankrolled his campaign, one Instagram user penned: "Imagine how angry Republicans would be if Biden held a press conference outside the White House endorsing his biggest donors’ products."

"Is the White House really promoting a private company product?" questioned a second.
A third exclaimed: "I can’t believe the White House official page and the president of the most powerful country is working as a social media influencer for Tesla."
"WTF is this??? Is this seriously a commercial advertisement from a ACTIVE president???" asked a fourth, while a fifth declared: "He’s using the official office to promote a business. That is insane but I fear we’ve arrived at a point where people don’t care or even consider this corruption. We are cooked for sure."

And a final Instagram user echoed: "This what corruption actually looks like plain and simple."
