A royal insider has revealed the bizarre nickname Palace staff reportedly gave Meghan Markle during her brief time as a working royal.
The former Suits star married Prince Harry in 2018 after the pair began dating two years prior.
In January 2020, they stepped down as senior royals before moving to Southern California.

Now, a new book by Tom Quinn - Yes Ma'am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants - details a number of alleged nicknames given to the 43-year-old by royal staff.
One staff member reportedly admitted that she was referred to as the 'Duchess of Difficult' for a period of time, but added that it was likely because she was struggling to adapt to life as a royal.
"She could be difficult because she was finding life difficult - trying to feel her way and work out the intricacies of a positively medieval, labyrinthine system," they said.

Another former aide claimed Meghan 'wasn't always so great with staff', sometimes being 'over friendly' with them by hugging them and trying to be their friend and at other times becoming frustrated if they weren't available to her 'at all times of the day and night'.
They once again put this down to a lack of experience with royal protocol.
But not all nicknames for the Duchess of Sussex were so unfriendly.

"It’s true that her nickname for a while was the Duchess of Difficult, but she had other, friendlier nicknames, including Mystic Meg, which came about because she was so new agey, so woke, about so many things," one staff member shared.
This was a nod to the late English astrologer of the same name.
They suggested that she'd had a noticeable impact on Prince Harry who'd apparently become 'far more concerned about social issues and the rights of minorities than he'd ever been before Meghan's arrival'.
"Some of the youngest staff at Kensington Palace would've applauded this, no doubt, but the older staff thought he'd become a tree-hugging leftie," they claimed.

Unfortunately, the Palace wasn't the only place to give Meghan an unflattering nickname or two.
Back in 2022, Meghan and Harry teamed up with Spotify for their podcast, Archetypes, but less than a year later, they parted ways with the platform.
Royal correspondent Neil Sean later told Fox News Digital that a secret nickname was given to Meghan by her former co-workers.

"Ex-staff members… told me they decided to christen her 'Eva' and this was used as a warning signal to let people know that she was either arriving or on the warpath," he claimed, adding: "The nickname came from the 1955 camp classic Queen Bee starring the ultimate diva… herself - Joan Crawford… This is because, like the Joan character [Eva Phillips], she stung her victims to pieces.
"This is exactly how staff felt about working alongside [Meghan]."
