Before Meghan Markle was known as The Duchess of Sussex, she was known by millions of telly-watchers as Rachel Zane from Suits.
And while the mother-of-two rarely reminisces with the public about her time on the fast-paced legal flick, one of her former co-stars has lifted the lid on his experience working alongside the royal.

For those who haven't yet sank their teeth into the show - despite it having wrapped up in 2019 - Suits tells the story of a group of cut-throat lawyers working at a New York City corporate law firm who'd happily throw one another under the bus in a bid for success.
The show's lead characters are Mike Ross and Harvey Specter (played by Patrick J Adams and Gabriel Macht), who spend all nine seasons winning A-list lawsuits and closing high-profile cases.
Among the series' supporting characters are Rick Hoffman, who plays partner Louis Litt, Sarah Rafferty, who plays Harvey's secretary and confidant Donna Paulson, and the one and only Meghan Markle, famed for her role as paralegal Rachel Zane.
Since her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry, however, Meghan has rarely addressed her on-screen beginnings.

Naturally, therefore, followers of the Duchess' journey through the spotlight have been forced to rely on other sources when learning what the former actress was like to work with.
Enter one of her closest co-stars, Patrick J Adams, who recently shed some light on his experience alongside the now 43-year-old.
And it turns out, the duo actually go way back.

Speaking on his Sidebar: A Suites Watch podcast recently, he revealed that the duo first worked together on a 'terrible, terrible pilot' prior to working on the show.
"There was a setting up of a romantic relationship in the pilot of that particular pilot too," Adams told listeners.
"And then we never saw each other again. The pilot failed. It was terrible and went away. And so we had never seen each other nor spoken to each other again."

Later, they'd receive the call to carry out a chemistry reading for Suits, being that they'd later enjoy a saucy on-screen relationship.
"She was right there and she said, 'Hi’, And I went, 'Oh my God! So good to see you!'," he went on, claiming their past connection made it easier when the pair came to film their more intimate scenes.
“And so I think just knowing each other and getting to calm down and not have those nerves of just getting to know one another really helped that chemistry read,” Adams explained.
"And it was just clear that we had an easygoing thing when we went into that room."

He continued: "It was pretty clear, if I remember correctly, that she was going to get the part from the minute we did the chemistry read. It was just so much easier than it was with anybody else.”
