
After the birth certificate of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son, Archie, was made public, it shut down a long-held belief about his birthplace.
There's been a lot to going on between fans and the royals as of late after finding out about their surnames and what it means when it comes to their titles.
There was Meghan Markle revealing that she, Prince Harry, and their two children share the surname of Sussex, Prince Harry and Prince William’s surname revelation, and exploring when and why their surnames change.
But surprising news prompted followers of the family to do some digging into the other monikers of the monarchy, which revealed Prince Louis' birth certificate too.

The youngest of the Wales' children, who is the son of Kate Middleton and Prince William, has his name down on his certificate the same way his father has.
Obtained by CBS, the official document lists Prince Louis' 'Name and surname' as 'His Royal Highness Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge'.
Even though they use Wales as their surname since becoming Prince and Princess of Wales, the way the title is utilised on the birth certificate is so confusing.
So, what does this mean for Archie?

Well, he is listed as Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor after the late Queen and Prince Philip’s household name.
While he now goes by Sussex because of his mum and dad’s title’s, the birth certificate also holds a little bit of information which shuts down some rumours about his birth.
For a while, there was a long-held belief that Meghan had opted for a home birth, however, BAZAAR.com revealed that it states that he was born on May 6 at Portland Hospital in Westminster, London.

Also, on the certificate reads Meghan’s legal name, which is Rachel Meghan Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex.
However, at the time of his birth, her maiden surname was listed as Markle, with no new surname after marriage being written.

Recently, she broke the news that they'd been using 'Sussex' as their official surname for a while.

Meghan told PEOPLE that the moniker was officially given to the couple by Harry's late grandmother on their 2018 wedding day.
She also claimed the name holds a lot of significance to her, explaining: "It’s our shared name as a family. And I guess I hadn’t recognised how meaningful that would be to me until we had children.
"I love that that is something that Archie, Lili, H and I all have together."
The former actress went on to say that the Sussex title is 'part of our love story', and that it ‘means a lot to me.’
