'Speechless' Kate Middleton fans all saying the same thing after Prince William shares new picture for her birthday

'Speechless' Kate Middleton fans all saying the same thing after Prince William shares new picture for her birthday

Kate Middleton is celebrating her 43rd birthday today

Prince William's ‘super sweet’ tribute to his wife Kate Middleton has left fans ‘speechless’, and everyone is saying the same thing about the never-before-seen black and white image he shared.

Today (9 January), Kate is celebrating her 43rd birthday at home in Windsor with her family after an extremely challenging year.

In 2024, the mum-of-three had been diagnosed with cancer, faced chemotherapy treatment and is now on the ‘path to healing and full recovery’.

It’s understood she and William, 42, will be joined by their three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, to celebrate her milestone once they have finished school for the day, as per Sky News.

William has marked his spouse’s birthday with a social media post, writing: “To the most incredible wife and mother.

“The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable. George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you.”

The heir to the British throne rounded off the post, adding: “Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W.”

The heart-melting message was accompanied by a black-and-white image of Kate taken by Matt Porteous in Windsor last summer, as per Elle.

The new picture sees the future Queen of England smiling with her hands in her jeans pockets, wearing a printed scarf, and looking off to the side.

Fans have been going wild for William’s loud declaration of love, with one claiming they had been rendered ‘speechless’ by the tribute.

A second commented via Instagram: “Happy Birthday, Catherine! This is such a beautiful and cute post.”

“What a beautiful picture of our beautiful Princess,” remarked someone else. “And this super sweet message from the love of her life makes it the perfect birthday tribute.

“Your love story is incredibly beautiful and we can actually feel the love and admiration you, Your Royal Highness, have for her. Thank you for this lovely surprise.”

They added that they too were wishing Kate a ‘very happy and healthy birthday’.

“Oh what a beautiful message from Prince William and a gorgeous photo of our Princess,” echoed another fan. “Wishing you a very happy and healthy birthday with your loved ones Catherine!”

A fifth typed: “Stunning photo of our birthday Princess. The sweetest message from her loving family. Wishing Catherine a blessed year ahead.”

The monarchy’s official social media account - which is used to represent William’s father King Charles III and his wife Queen Camilla - also wished Kate well on her special day.

A picture taken of Kate as she collected bouquets of flowers from onlookers outside St Mary Magdalene's Church in Sandringham on Christmas Day 2024 was shared alongside the sentiment: “Happy Birthday to The Princess of Wales!”

Following Kate’s cancer diagnosis, her husband explained how 2024 had been the ‘hardest year’ of his life.

"It's been dreadful," he confessed at an event in South Africa last November.

"It's probably been the hardest year in my life. So, trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult.”

As well as his wife suffering from cancer, William’s father Charles, 76, was also diagnosed with the disease in 2024.

Like his daughter-in-law, His Majesty decided not to share what type of cancer he had.

On 20 December, Sky News reported that Charles’s cancer treatment was expected to continue into 2025.

A source told the publication: “His treatment has been moving in a positive direction and as a managed condition the treatment cycle will continue into next year.”
