Princess Beatrice’s new baby girl has made a significant change to the royal family lineup, meaning that a major family member is now further away from being in line to the throne.
The Princess of York gave birth to her second child, who was originally due to be delivered in the spring, however, she made her arrival on 22 January at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.
Princess Beatrice's husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, released a lovely photo of their daughter together, as well as a sweet statement about her birth.

He wrote on Instagram: "Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi. We welcomed Baby Athena into our lives last week. She is tiny and absolutely perfect. We are all (including Wolfie and Sienna) already completely besotted with her.
"Our hearts are overflowing with love for you, baby Athena."
Edoardo added: "A massive thank you from my wife and I goes out to all the wonderful staff at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for their exceptional care and support during this incredibly special time.”

Buckingham Palace first broke the news and revealed more details surrounding the birth, explaining in a statement: "Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, born on Wednesday January 22 at 12.57pm, at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London.
“The baby was born weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces.
“Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of the royal family have all been informed and are delighted with the news.”
However, the birth of little Athena has had a knock on effect on other members of the family, as she now takes the 11th place to be in line to the throne.

While their daughter, Sienna, is currently tenth in line to the throne, Athena’s birth has just pushed back her aunt, Princess Eugenie, from the throne - so let’s break the succession line down.
First, there is Prince William, who is the oldest son of King Charles III, and is first in line to the throne.
Then his three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, succeeded him in the order of second, third, and fourth.

Prince Harry is fifth, while his children Archie, five and Lilibet, three, are sixth and seventh.
Prince Andrew remains eight in line, while Princess Beatrice is ninth, and Sienna is tenth, and now Athena is 11th.
This means that Princess Eugenie is now 12th in line, followed by her two sons, August and Ernest, who will be 13th and 14th in line.
Lady Louise, who is the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, has now been moved to 17th, and Princess Anne, Queen Elizabeth's daughter, is now 18th in the line of succession.
