The family of Virginia Giuffre, the woman who claimed she had been trafficked to Prince Andrew, have issued a major update after she previously claimed she had just 'days to live'.
The statement comes after Giuffre's Instagram announcement on Sunday (30 March) that she's 'gone into kidney renal failure', adding that doctors gave her just 'four days to live'.
"This year has been the worst start to a new year," the mother-of-three penned in the caption of a photo showing her facial injuries.

"But I won’t bore anyone with the details but I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can."

"I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time, but you know what they say about wishes. S**T in one hand and wish in the other & I guarantee it’s still going to be s**t at the end of the day."
She continued: "Thank you all for being the wonderful people of the world and for being a great part of my life.

"Godbless you all xx Virginia."
In a new statement to LADbible Group this afternoon (1 April), the Giuffre family offered an update on Virginia as they said: "Virginia thanks everyone for the outpouring of love and support. She is overwhelmed with gratitude.
"Today she remains in serious condition while receiving medical care. On March 24, in rural Western Australia, a school bus hit the car in which she was riding."

The statement continued: "The police were called but said that there was no one available to come to the scene. They asked if anyone was injured and suggested that if they were, they should make their way to the hospital.
"The school bus driver had a bus full of distraught children and left the scene to get them back, saying he would file a police report, which he did later.
"Virginia was banged up and bruised and returned home. Virginia's condition worsened and she was admitted to the hospital."
It concluded: "Concerning her Instagram post, Virginia thought that she had posted on her private Facebook page.

"Virginia and her family thank everyone for their concern."
Western Australia Police confirmed to The Guardian that there was a report of a 'minor crash' between a school bus and a car in Neergabby, north of Perth, on 24 March, adding: "The collision was reported by the bus driver the following day.
"The car sustained approximately A$2,000 worth of damage. There were no reported injuries as a result of the crash."
However, they did not name any of the people involved, but confirmed the driver was a 41-year-old woman.
In 2021, Giuffre sued Prince Andrew for alleged sexual abuse, further claiming that she had been 'forced to have sex' with Andrew by Jeffrey Epstein on three occasions when she was 17 years old, according to The Independent.

In 2022, Giuffre and Andrew reached a out-of-court financial settlement, putting an end to the civil claim she'd filed in the US and preventing him of ever having to go to trial.
Andrew, who'd repeatedly denied the allegations and has not been charged with any criminal offences, later pledged to 'demonstrate his regret for his association with Epstein', claiming in a statement that he'd made a 'substantial donation' to Giuffre's charity 'in support of victim's rights'.
