One woman has sparked conversation online after claiming that she will never post her partner on social media, and would even wait up to four months before posting wedding pics online.
These days, the first Instagram post with a partner can be considered one of the first major milestones in a relationship, whether it's a cryptic 'soft launch' on your Instagram Story, or a full-blown adorable couple's photo posted to the main that gets all the 'congratulations' comments.
But 25-year-old Sophie Toure plans to avoid this milestone at all costs, and says she would absolutely never post a man on her social media again. Watch her explain why here:
The confidence coach from New York, US, joked that if her followers ever saw her post a photo of her significant other online, she must have 'lost her mind'.

After posting about her past two relationships online, and suffering the consequences, Sophie refuses to make the same mistake a third time.
While dating her high school sweetheart, Sophie says that she posted everything they ever did together, which made it that much harder when they eventually broke up.
When she took down the photos of her and her ex-boyfriend, Sophie says she was bombarded by friends and followers looking to find out what happened between them, making the whole experience even more painful.
She recalled: “When I was younger in my first relationship, I posted absolutely everything online.

“Everyone was so invested in our relationship because we went to prom together and we were real high school sweethearts.
“When I moved to go to college Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Connecticut, US, we broke up so I took down our pictures and I was bombarded with messages."
When she was 21, Sophie was in another relationship, which she would sporadically post about online.

Very much abiding by the TikTok-famous 'soft launch' technique, Sophie would limit her posts to photos of her boyfriend's hands and arms, but no photos where you could see his full face or identify him.
However, Sophie underestimated just how nosy her followers were, and it wasn't long before they figured out who her new partner was.
"One day I posted a selfie and people managed to track him down and found his Instagram," she said.
“I felt so overwhelmed I asked him to make his account private which I know I shouldn’t have done, but I felt the same thing was happening again.”

After struggling twice with posting her partner online, Sophie has vowed to never share her love life on social media again, admitting that she doesn't trust people always have the best intentions.
"People who matter to me know who I am involved with and I prefer everyone else to not know my business," she said.
She added even after tying the knot, she would wait a few months to post any wedding pictures ‘just to make sure’.

Now, that's dedication.
