A good primer is one of the most important steps in your makeup routine. Without it your makeup often doesn’t last as long or your foundation and base products can start to separate or shift as time progresses throughout the day or night.
And women are losing their minds over a new range of primers that promises to make your makeup last 12 hours longer than it usually would.

If you happen to suffer from dry, flaky skin or fine lines, you’ll want to pick up the Hydrating primer. While those with dull, uneven skin or dark spots should opt for the Illuminating primer. And finally, there’s the Blurring primer, which is ideal for oily/ combination skin and those with enlarged pores or textured areas.
How does it work?
While each of the primers differ slightly, in terms of their ingredients and finishes, all three are silicone and sulphate free. In the Hydrating primer, one of the key ingredients is glycerin, which attracts moisture to the skin, giving you the perfect base from which to apply makeup on top of. It also adds a boost of hydration thanks to French mineral-enriched water, which is said to help decrease any dullness.

Both the Illuminating and Blurring primers contain tiny pearls or beads, which when massaged into the skin reflect and diffuse light to give your face a smooth and radiant appearance. And all three utilise an exclusive blend of rose extracts, which help to soothe, moisturise and smooth the skin.
Each primer is priced at £39 ($50) for 30ml, or £21.50 ($28) for a 15ml tube, if you’d prefer to try out a smaller version before committing to the full size.
What are customers saying?
With over 150 five-star reviews, it looks as though having a separate primer for each skin type and concern is really beneficial.

And one fan of the Blurring primer said: "I live in Florida where it's hot and sticky. Balmy faces and runny makeup are kind of expected here. But this primer helps my makeup stay PUT no more runny mascara under my eyes too. I feel like it evens my skin tone and helps me glow!"
The Hydrating primer has plenty of fans too, with one writing: "This is the best primer I have ever used in my life, seriously."
