A model has urged her followers to accept ageing as she proudly showed off her ‘58-year-old face’ in a recent social media post.
Paulina Porizkova rose to fame as one of the top models in Paris during the early 1980s before she became well known in the US after covering Sports Illustrated in 1984.
She still models today and has inspired social media users to embrace the signs of ageing. The supermodel has also stated that she has not had any Botox or fillers.

Paulina recently posted a lengthy Instagram caption alongside a video showing a close-up short of her face.
The video consists of two clips - one shows Paulina with a full face of makeup, while the others is filmed selfie-style with Paulina not wearing any makeup products on her face.
Although she admits to using lasers in the past, Paulina said in the caption she has used SPF ‘religiously’ since her ‘early twenties’ and chose not to have anything put ‘into’ her face.
“This is a 58-year-old face without fillers, Botox or surgery in good light with professional gorgeous makeup,” she said about the first clip.

“And here’s the same face without makeup,” she continued, referring to the second.
Paulina added: “I have had lasers (ultherapy and Morpheus) and used spf religiously since my early twenties.”
SPF stands for sun protection factor and it refers to the time a sunscreen product will protect you skin from harmful UV rays. The higher the SPF, the longer the protection will last.

Meanwhile, ultherapy is non-invasive skin tightening that is FDA cleared to ‘lift’ the neck, chin and brow by improving lines and wrinkles. Morpheus8 has also been FDA approved and aids in the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles and improves skin tone and texture and tightens areas of the skin.
The Instagram caption continued: “I have chosen not to put anything ‘into’ my face - but even with the fanciest creams and lasers that promise to restore some collagen - I am ageing.
“Some days, I like it. I feel like my face has gained character even as it’s lost its youthful prettiness. And it seems a fair trade off.
“Other days, (and this is mostly only if I do a photoshoot), I have to gulp some self acceptance. I have changed.”

Paulina doesn’t see this change as being only a bad thing and said that her partner has helped her view ageing differently. With that said, you don’t need to be in a relationship to feel good about how your body changes as you age.
She continued: “Fortunately, this change also means being wiser. And bolder. So I keep gulping self acceptance.
“I won’t skip over the obvious - that there is a love in my life who finds me beautiful, and tells me so with words and actions every day - and this is really the only one I NEED to hear - But! I was on the same path before meeting him.
“I wanted to be able to accept myself as I am. And needed to know that those who love me - love me for the truth of who I am rather than who I pretend to be or who I’m expected to be.

"Outside, I have changed. I’m told by society - for the worse.
“Inside, I have also changed. I’m told by those who matter - for the better.
“When I close my eyes, I have never felt so desirable or beautiful.
“When I open them, the world has never been as beautiful as it is now.
“So another gulp of self acceptance.
“Maybe, one day I can just look and see myself as I see others."
Paulina has received heaps of praise for her incredible message on social media, with many women celebrating the fact she has decided to ‘age naturally’.
One commenter gushed: “This is what I would like to see on the cover of Vogue. A gorgeous woman who loves herself enough not to airbrush the life out of her face!”
Another woman commented: “It’s a pleasure to see someone age naturally. We all feel so much pressure to look young.
While another woman, who called the post ‘lovely’, shared: “I'm a 64-year-old face with no fillers, no botox, and no professional makeup....I'm OK with it.”
Another Instagram user wrote: “Paulina you are the BOMB of self acceptance - thank you for being so bold and paving the way for all us over 50…”
