Farmer Wants a Wife contestants Brad and Claire are expecting their first child just months after finding love on the show, admitting that it came as a bit of a surprise to even them.
The Aussie reality dating series, based on the British format of the same name, sees a group of eligible farmers head out on dates with women in a bid to find love.
Cootamundra crop and cattle farmer Brad Jones, 32, ended up coming out of the latest season in luck, having found romance with pre-school teacher, Clare Hockings, 28.

"I started this journey with the hope to fall in love with someone and I am,” he told her in his final decision.
“I'm falling in love with you and I'm very excited about what the future has in store for us."
Now the pair have announced they’re expecting their first child together, saying ‘Baby Jones’ is due at the end of this year.

Alongside a photo of the parents-to-be posing with a tiny pair of boots, Hockings wrote: “We're so excited to meet our newest little farm hand! Baby Jones due December.”
In an interview with New Idea magazine, the couple said the baby news came as a bit of a surprise to them.
"We didn't think it would happen as quick as it did," Jones admitted.
He added: “We're on the same page and just happy doing life together.”

Hockings, who is now in her second trimester, said her pregnancy has been relatively smooth sailing and ‘pretty healthy’ so far, apart from a bout of morning sickness and lethargy in the first stage.
Overall, she said she’s been feeling ‘pretty good’.
The baby will be the first grandchild in Hockings’ family, and it seems her parents are excited – having already bought lots of things for the new arrival.

“They are so excited,” Hockings said.
“Brad’s parents just welcomed a new granddaughter the other day, so it’ll be nice for our baby to have a little cousin close in age.”
The pair said they’ve decided to find out the baby’s gender ‘the old-fashioned way’, although Jones initially felt a bit conflicted about the idea.
While they haven’t settled on any names just yet, they’ve signed up with a naming app called Kinder for inspiration.

“It’s like Tinder for names,” Hockings explained.
“You go on there and swipe the names you like. If it’s the same one that your partner has picked, it will say it’s a match,” adds Brad.
“We’ve still got a bit of time.”
Congratulations to the happy couple!
