"Serena vs June. This is gonna be epic, tragic and gut-wrenching," wrote a third, while a fourth added: "This honestly looks like the most intense season yet! I’m so excited!"
"I feel like writers are trying to describe June in this: 'He who fights monsters should see to it that he himself does not become a monster.' But honestly, she could burn a city and still be a lesser evil than Fred and Serena," remarked a fifth.
Elisabeth Moss, who plays June, told TV Line of season five: "I will say that the season itself is possibly one of the wilder rides that we've had. Some seasons a lot happens, some seasons not as much happens. This season, I almost can't keep up.
"And it's not lip service. I truly mean I almost can't keep up with the amount of activity that's happening."
