People baffled after realising Miley Cyrus is in High School Musical 2

People are completely baffled after realising that Miley Cyrus was actually in one of the High School Musical movies.

The Disney Channel star made a brief - but clearly impactful - appearance in the sequel film of the franchise, and fans cannot wrap their heads around the discovery.

While many nostalgic viewers claim to have known it was Miley all along, others were completely none the wiser to her iconic cameo. Check it out here:

During the final song of High School Musical 2, the whole cast and then some get together for a full-blown pool party and dance to the final track of the film titled 'All for One'.

Breaking out in true HSM choreography, Troy (Zac Efron), Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens), Sharpay (Ashley Tisdale), Chad (Corbin Bleu), Taylor (Monique Coleman) and Ryan (Lucas Grabeel) all hit the stage in a sing-song while the crowd goes wild.

However, it seems that another fellow Disney Channel actor also made her way onto the set.

For just a few seconds, the Hannah Montana star can be seen getting her groove on and happily singing along to the tunes.

The resurfaced clip has since made its rounds on TikTok, with many in total disbelief that they never caught the crossover cameo the first time around.

One not-so-eagle-eyed viewer posted the footage to the platform, captioning the clip: "Why have I seen this movie 100 times and never noticed Miley Cyrus until now?!?"

And the revelation was shared by many others.

One TikTok user commented: "Thank you for showing me this. I didn't know."

"Wait what," wrote a second with two embarrassed face emojis, clearly embarrassed that they hadn't noticed given that the film is now 16-years-old.

While a third exclaimed: "How did I never notice?!"

But for others, however, this was old news.

"Noticed this the first time I saw it," one TikTok user claimed, "y'all late to the party."

They sure are.

Another added: "This is jaw dropping, how did you not notice?"

Some, however, knew it was Miley all along and even remembered how the 'Flowers' singer made her way onto the set in the first place.

One nostalgia TikTok user asked: "Didn't they have a voting poll to see which Disney character made an appearance at the end?"

"Disney had this whole thing where fans voted on which cast member they wanted to appear in HSM2," another recalled, "and she was only in it for 2 seconds."

And a third agreed: "I remember when they had a poll on who they wanted to make a cameo."
