On Rotten Tomatoes, it received a critical rating of 45 percent. The site commended the 'outstanding performance' of Garner, but concluded: "It isn't quite enough to keep this faith-based drama from preaching to the choir."
Speaking at the time of the film's release, Garner said that the film wasn't meant to be 'preaching' in its message.
Quoted in US Today, the 13 Going On 30 star said: ""We were careful not to preach. That's not Christy's message whatsoever, to tell you what to believe or how to practice.
"Even if you drop faith out of the movie, there's the message of hope, the idea of keeping your head up and knowing you can push through to the other side of a challenge."
UK viewers will be able to watch the film on Netflix until January 31st.
