Fans of this year’s Love Island have been waiting with bated breath for Gemma Owen to reveal that she’s the daughter of former England player Michael Owen.
However, she’s now one of two contestants on the show with a famous sporting connection as bombshell Jay Younger is also related to a famous face! Watch his arrival below:
Jay Younger, 28, joined the villa last night and his surname, like Gemma’s, is a clue to his famous connection - he’s the grandson of former Liverpool player Tommy Younger.

But Jay didn’t follow in his granddad’s footsteps in football and became an investment analyst instead.
Jay said: “He was in the hall of fame for Liverpool and he was in the hall of fame for Hibernian FC.”
Tommy’s football journey really began all the way back in 1948 when he signed with his Scottish hometown club Hibernian before his 1956 transfer to Liverpool.
Prior to ending his professional career at Leeds United, Tommy was also a member of the Stoke City, Rhyl and Toronto City teams, the MailOnline reports.

When asked by the Love Island producers why he thinks he’s a catch, Jay said: “I think I genuinely have what most females want.
“I've got a good job, I think I am a good-looking lad and I have a lot of fun so I feel like I could add a lot of value to their lives if they add a lot of value to mine.
“I think I am at the point in my life where it would be quite fun to find someone and have fun along the way. And doing it in Mallorca and in the Villa would be a great opportunity, so why not?”

He said that he believes he's currently single because he is quite picky when it comes to women, adding: “I think I am just not one to settle down easily.”
Jay also opened up about what gives him the ick, telling producers that it's a girl who is 'quite needy' as he finds 'self-sufficiency' attractive.
He caused quite the stir when he arrived in the villa and ended up having a brief argument with Gemma's ex-boyfriend, rugby player Jacques.

“You’re a bit small for a rugby player, no?” he said.
Jacques was not happy with this comment and replied: “Oh really? If you run at me I’ll flatten you, so...”
