Warning: Major Ozark spoilers ahead.
After tuning in to the series finale that dropped on Netflix last week, Ozark fans are still reeling over the thriller series' dramatic conclusion.
But even after unpacking every shocking twist and turn, there's one thing that fans are still worried about: what ever happened to Mel's cat?

Private investigator Mel Sattem was the last character to meet his maker at the hands of the Byrde family in the series finale, after he finally uncovered evidence that linked them to Ben's death.
When he refused the Byrde family's bribes to keep quiet, Mel was quickly gunned down by Jonah in an unexpected plot twist.
If he wasn't obsessively investigating the Byrdes, Mel could be found at home stroking his pet cat. But now that he's been killed so unexpectedly, fans can't stop wondering what might have happened to his feline friend.

Posting the dilemma to Reddit, one Ozark viewer wrote: "After watching the final episode, there's one thing stressing me out. What will happen to Mel's cat?"
Another fan commented under the post: "Watched the last episode last night, thought of this as I tried going to sleep. Woke my girlfriend up to ask her."
And a second asked: "Bro for real who was feeding my guy?"

A third worried fan wrote: "Awww….I forgot about that. Poor kitty", while a fourth assured: "He had a cat sitter I’m sure."
Adding on to the hopeful fan's suggestion that Mel had thought to get a cat sitter, another fan commented: "I agree. The amount of time he was away from home he would have someone looking after his cat."
Referring to the Langmore family's bobcats and the Byrde family's puppy, they added: "I hope the bobcats are having good bobcat fun somewhere too. And also that the Byrde's new puppy from season 1, which we never saw again, is having his best life. Couldn't care less about any of the pawful humans except to hope they never get any more pets."
