The Sex and the City reboot is set to welcome back one of the most famous characters from the franchise.
That's right, Kim Cattrall's Samantha Jones will be making a splash on the small screen once again in the upcoming season season of And Just Like That.
Variety says Jones will make a small cameo in the show and managed to film all of her scenes without speaking to the other cast members.

The outlet claims the character will appear in the season's finale.
Fans have gone absolutely wild over the revelation.
One viewer wrote rather excitedly: "SAMANTHA JONES IS COMING BACK TO ME THE MOTHER WHO MOTHERED MOTHERS."

Another added: "And just like that Samantha Jones will save the show once again."
A third said: "She was the baddest. Continually supportive. She truly defines 'ride or die'. Kim Cattrall is a gift, especially on the eve of Pride Month. We won."
Cattrall famously wasn't included in the first season of the reboot.
The characters remarked how she had moved to London after having a fallout with Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie Bradshaw.

Carrie fired Samantha as her publicist and so she hightailed it to the UK to enjoy the rest of her life.
Apart from that brief mention, And Just Like That focused on the remaining trio of Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon.
However, Variety has been informed Jones' one and only scene will involve a phone call with Park's character Carrie Bradshaw.
It sounds like her big return has been in the works for a while.

An insider told the Mail Online before the first season of the reboot aired: "We have high hopes that by the time we begin filming the second season, Kim will have joined the show and Samantha Jones can make a triumphant return to the Big Apple."
They added: "We want Kim back. She was missed on set.
"We all understand why she feels the way she does. We get it. We just want her to come back for future seasons."

However, don't get your hopes up that Samantha Jones will be back permanently.
Variety noted 'Cattrall’s appearance as Samantha will not be a continuation of the character for now'.
Hopefully there is enough fan excitement that convinces Cattrall she's sorely missed on the show and she signs on for season three.
Only time will tell.
Stream the new series on NOW in the UK and HBO's Max in the US from 22 June.
