Rebel Wilson's new comedy Senior Year is a hit among Netflix users, but some viewers have been struggling to wrap their heads around one particular plot hole.
The film follows high school cheerleader Stephanie (Rebel Wilson), who winds up in a 20 year coma after a cheer stunt gone wrong. Catapulted from 2002 to 2022, the now-37-year-old is determined to go back to school, finish her senior year, and get the prom queen crown she had longed for throughout her teens.
Check out the trailer here:
Leaving the hospital in 2022, Stephanie looks strong, healthy, and fresh as a daisy for someone who has been unconscious for the past 20 years. And while viewers were able to look past some inaccuracies following her coma, there were other details of the lengthy hospital stint that they simply couldn't get behind.

In the film, Stephanie's dad Jim (Chris Parnell) is a widower who works at Blockbuster - and then Best Buy by the time Stephanie awakens from her coma.
Jim has been patiently waiting for Stephanie to make a recovery for the past two decades, and was so confident that she would recover that he left her childhood bedroom exactly how it was and even kept her magazine subscriptions running.
While Jim's confidence that his daughter would recover is certainly sweet, viewers couldn't help but wonder how he could afford to keep her on life support for so many years with a low-paying job.

Pointing out the plot hole, one viewer tweeted: "Ok her dad was working at Blockbuster then 20 years later he working at Best Buy. What insurance did he have to support his daughter being in a coma for 20 years."
Noticing the same problem, a second wrote: "Her Daddy has on a Best Buy shirt. What kind of insurance they got over there for his daughter to be in a coma for 20 years? "
And that wasn't the only plot hole viewers noticed, either.

When 90's film star Alicia Silverstone made a cameo appearance in the film, fans were puzzled, having seen a large Clueless poster on Stephanie's bedroom wall not long before.
People worked themselves up trying to get to the bottom of the mind-boggling 'Cher-ception'.
Senior Year is available to stream on Netflix now.
