Jenna Ortega is the name on a lot of TV fans' lips after her profile increased dramatically thanks to her starring role in Netflix's Wednesday.
The actress, 20, however, had a number of high-profile gigs before becoming the moody teen, and now fans are only just realising that she was in Jane the Virgin too. Check out the Wednesday trailer below:
This was a role that she landed way back in 2014 when she was very much still a child at the age of 12.

But despite being a youngster, it was a massive success for the actress, who played a young version of Jane Villaneuva (Gina Rodriguez) until the show ended in 2019.
According to Ortega's IMBD, she played the character for a total of 30 episodes over this five-year period.
The actress's role in the show has been a major talking point for fans young and old since Wednesday aired.
One Twitter user praised: "I love jenna ortega like that's been my girl since jane the virgin [sic]."

Another remarked: "I still associate Jenna Ortega with Jane the Virgin tbh."
News of Ortega's earlier role comes after showrunners for Wednesday confirmed that plans are in motion for future seasons of the hit show.

Alfred Gough and Miles Millar told Variety that they never just plan one season of a show and said that there are plans for 'at least three or four seasons' of Wednesday.
"We certainly have a pretty clear runway of what we want to do in future seasons," Millar said before adding that there is scope for these plans to 'evolve and change'.
Ortega was joined in the first season of Wednesday by a number of seriously famous faces including Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Isaac Ordonez and Gwendoline Christie.

The show also featured the surprise casting of Christina Ricci, who famously played Wednesday in The Addams Family and Addams Family Values.
Netflix has already confirmed that there will be a second season of the show, so we can only hope the others will see the light of day too.
