Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez have been flooded with messages of love and support after announcing the devastating death of their baby boy after welcoming newborn twins.
The Manchester United footballer and his girlfriend Georgina shared the heartbreaking news on Monday, and have since been met with touching tributes and heartfelt condolences from football fans, fellow players, and famous friends.

In solidarity with the pro-footballer, the Manchester United team commented on his post, writing: "Your pain is our pain. Sending love and strength to you and the family at this time, @Cristiano".
Meanwhile, Cristiano's former team Real Madrid released a statement following the news, which read: "Real Madrid C. F., its president and board of directors are deeply saddened by the passing of one of the children that our dear Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner, Georgina Rodríguez, were expecting. Real Madrid shares in the family's pain and wishes to send them all of our warmth."
Cristiano's teammate Marcus Rashford also reacted to the news on Twitter, posting: "Thoughts are with you and Georgina brother. I’m so sorry".

Other Man United teammates including Diogo Dalot, David de Gea, Alex Telles, publicly expressed their condolences by commenting with emojis of hearts and prayer hands on Cristiano's post.
Former Brazilian professional footballer Pelé also paid his respects, writing: "My friend, I send you my prayers and my thoughts at this very difficult time. May God comfort your hearts and enlighten every step of the way."
Some other famous faces who paid tribute to Cristiano and Georgina included Olympic athlete Usain Bolt, sports broadcaster Gary Lineker, and reality star Dr Alex George.

In a separate post to Instagram, Cristiano's sister Katia Aveiro paid tribute to her late nephew: "I love you and my heart is all there on this side…
“May God take care of everything and strengthen your path more and more… Our little angel is already on her father’s lap, and our little girl who is here firm and strong and full of health will teach us more and more that only love matters."
Cristiano and Georgina shared the tragic update with fans and friends on Monday in a joint post to social media.
Their statement read: "It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.

"Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you".
