Armie Hammer’s ex-wife has spoken out about their split in 2020 amid claims of abuse from other women.
Bakery owner and television personality Elizabeth Chambers divorced the Call Me By Your Name actor after 10 years of marriage and not long before emotional and sexual abuse allegations started to surface.

Now, the 40-year-old has opened up about the events leading up to their split, revealing that she still has a non-romantic relationship with the former Hollywood star, 36.
“I support Armie through his journey and I always will,” she told Elle.
Elizabeth and Armie share daughter Harper, eight, and son Ford, six. Their marriage took a bad turn when they decided to relocate to the Cayman Islands shortly after the pandemic began to unfold.

“He was the worst,” she said, describing his behaviour during the lockdown when their family isolated.
Armie eventually returned to LA to help a friend restore an old motel. “My heart was broken in nine million pieces, and I still drove him to the airport,” she confessed.
Speaking of filing for divorce, she said: "The dissolution of my family was literally my biggest fear of my whole life.
“You’re building something, right? You’re weaving a beautiful tapestry, and the last thing you want is for a knife to come and rip the tapestry in half."

She added: “You can give, you can love, you can be there for someone, but you also need to hold people accountable for their actions.”
From July 2021 the Golden Globe-nominated actor was accused of rape, having cannibalistic fetishes and extreme BDSM. He was also subject of an LAPD investigation. Hammer has denied any criminal wrongdoing, but recently admitted that he was emotionally abusive towards previous partners.
“I was learning things as the public was. I was like, ‘there are no words. What the f*ck?’," Elizabeth shared regarding her reaction to the allegations.

This month in an interview with digital newsletter Air Mail, Armie revealed he checked into a rehab facility in Florida for seven months and sought help for drug, alcohol and sex issues shortly after the allegations became public.
He also claimed he contemplated suicide when the allegations made headlines and claimed he was sexually abused by a youth pastor when he was 13 years old.
“What that did for me was it introduced sexuality into my life in a way that it was completely out of my control,” he said about the sexual abuse when he was a child.

Hammer has denied the allegations against him and his lawyer, Andrew Brettler, shared a statement after the allegations came to light.
Brettler said: “With the truth on his side, Mr Hammer welcomes the opportunity to set the record straight. From day one, Mr Hammer has maintained that all of his interactions with [the alleged victim] – and every other sexual partner of his for that matter – have been completely consensual.”
Armie has not been charged with any crime.
