53-year-old Gwen Stefani has been praised for looking 'hotter' than she did 'at 25' just months after facing criticism for allegedly 'messing with her face'.
The 'No Doubt' singer was indulging in a spot of impromptu and solo carpool karaoke last week to the delight of her followers on Instagram.
While the focus was supposed to be on the tracks to include in her approaching tour setlist, as she captioned the short video: "Yeah… i think i’m going to go with the hits ;) gx," - fans were a little more focussed on her new look.

The star seemed to have abandoned her recent scraped-back hairstyle she's been working of late in favour of something looser, sexier and a little more blown out.
One follower commented: "How have you looked the same for 20 years lol I remember watching holla back girls on mtv when I was 7 and thinking 'I like girls' hahahaha wtf Gwen."
Another echoed that sentiment, asking: "How are you hotter now than when you were 25?"

To which another fan wrote the reply: "Haha right?? I literally just commented a minute ago about how she gets more beautiful the older she gets. Not fair lol."
But the praise over her new laid-back look comes just months after criticism that she looked unrecognisable in an interview on Late Night With Seth Meyers in September 2022.
The star, who first found fame in the nineties, was begged to stop 'messing with her face' after a promo clip for The Voice was released later that month.
Posted to the show's instagram, on 19 September, it was captioned: "What's your go-to song for a chair turn?"

However, instead of getting fans engaging and excited for the show, most of them couldn't seem to look beyond beyond the 'Hollaback Girl' singer's appearance.
One wrote: "So love Gwen but stop messing with your eyes. They are disappearing."
A second wrote: "Wish she would stop having work done on her face. She's starting to look like Madonna."

While another remarked: "The face filler has to stop. Watch her cheeks. They don't move."
And a fourth wrote: "She doesn't even look like herself anymore."
In 2004, Gwen told PEOPLE magazine: “I’m hoping my children will save me from my vanity. If it doesn’t, plastic surgery is an option … It sucks to have to grow older. We all have to accept it.”

But while she has never admitted to having tweaks, plastic surgeon Dr Richard Westreich told The US Sun in November 2022: “Gwen looks to have spent around $100,000 on cosmetic procedures and tweakments, which means she won't need a facelift in ten years time."
Regardless of whether the singer has dabbled in cosmetic surgery or not, all that matters is her being comfortable in her own skin - and other opinions shouldn't come in the way of that.
