Julia Fox has opened up about how she struggled to celebrate her 27th birthday amid fears of getting older.
The actor and model proved that no one is immune to feeling insecure as she took to TikTok to reflect on how she coped with turning 27; an age which meant she could 'no longer say mid-twenties'.
"I'd officially be in my late twenties. Okay? So this is how deep this sh*t is for women."

Fox, who celebrated her 32nd birthday earlier this year, shared the clip after stating in a previous video that 'ageing is fully in'.
She slammed anti-aging products and claimed she was 'going to sue' the companies behind them because they do not, in fact, stop people from ageing.
"I'm going to age regardless... So let's all stop lying to ourselves, getting old is f**king hot," Fox said.
The video with met with comments from TikTok users pointing out that Fox was still young herself, but she stressed that while this is true, 'in the entertainment industry 30 is f**king considered old'.

She explained she 'literally cried' on her 27th birthday, adding in a follow-up video that she 'literally stayed in [her] bed all day long'.
Fox described herself as being a 'tyrant' when her friends attempted to celebrate with her, shouting: "Get the f**k out! I told you we're not celebrating! There's nothing to celebrate!" when they attempted to come into her room with cupcakes and candles.
"I wanted the day to pass and just have it be like - I was like 'don't post because I don't want to draw attention to the fact I'm turning 27', I was like, 'I just want it to pass by like any other day.'"

Looking back, Fox said it was 'sad' she had tried to ignore her birthday, noting that one of the friends who attempted to celebrate it with her, Harmony, had since passed away.
"Harmony, the girl I was with, she died. She's not even gonna have the privilege of getting older, you know. So we deny ourselves these milestones for what?," Fox questioned.
The actor has been praised for her candour on the topic, with many agreeing with Fox's view of ageing as a 'privilege'.

"The biggest takeaway of my twenties is to learn how to honour time," one person wrote. "There’s a switch that turns at 25 where time just feels so scary."
Another commented: "Just turned 27 and this really hit home. This was the realization I needed, thank you!"
