Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are notoriously open and honest both with their fans and with their children.
The celeb couple have no secrets and are more than happy to lay everything out on the table, and that means telling her daughters Lincoln, 9, and Delta, 8, that their 'daddy is an addict'.

"I hate the word ‘taboo.’ I think it should be stricken from the dictionary," the Frozen star told Real Simple.
"There should be no topic that’s off the table for people to talk about
"I know it's shocking, but I talk to my kids about drugs, and the fact that their daddy is an addict and he’s in recovery, and we talk about sex."
She continued: “There are all these ‘hard topics’ that don’t have to be if you give the person on the other end your vulnerability and a little bit of credit.”
Dax has always been pretty open about his history with addiction, but it's definitely interesting to hear that his daughters are up-to-date on this one.

The Armchair Expert host had been sober for 16 years but relapsed in 2020 while self-medicating for a number of motorcycle-related injuries he had suffered over the years.
He told podcast listeners at the time: "After I ride sometimes on the track, I feel I’m entitled to take two Vicodin at the end of the day because I am in pain. That again doesn’t feel that crazy."
He went on to admit that he started to get 'shadier and shadier' with his pill intake, and got to a point where he was lying to Kristen and other people he loved.

Kristen was able to forgive Dax for lying to her, though, and shared that 'making amends and apologising' is one of the most important things in their family.
"I really respect when someone does something wrong or hurtful and they apologise," she said.
"I'm like, 'Yeah, right on.' That's important'."
Speaking more on Dax's addiction, Kristen shared that, when she met her husband 'he'd just recently started to be in recovery'.

She recalled: "If he found a pill, he’d be gone for three days. He’d miss Christmas and do lots of things that are inarguably bad things.
"I was a goody-goody with a temper. He was vulnerable and communicative. That scrambled my brain."
Kristen says she took the 'last year and a half almost off to be a mom and a producer when [her] kids are at school', but fans can likely expect to see - or rather, hear - Kristen on their screens soon, now that Disney has officially confirmed that Frozen 3 is in the works.

That means Anna (Kristen Bell) and Elsa (Idina Menzel) are coming back once more.
