Lady Gaga fans didn't know what to make of her stripped-back Oscars performance at the 95th Academy Awards. Watch below:
Turning up to the show on the red carpet, or not so much a red carpet this year, Gaga wore a Versace gown and a full face of her popular beauty brand, Haus Labs.

Gaga's makeup artist, Sarah Tanno, took to Instagram to explain the makeup look for arguably one of the biggest shows of the year.
She said: "We call this look 'Addicted to Blush' and were inspired by the Robert Palmer girls from the Addicted to Love Video."
In the Instagram post, Sarah explained exactly how she achieved the look for Gaga, giving a step-by-step guide for fans who may want to achieve the look, too.

However, Gaga completely mixed it up for her performance at the Oscars, as she stripped off the makeup for a bare-faced look for her performance.
The singer also ditched her Versace outfit for a casual look of a t-shirt and ripped jeans.
A very close-up shot of her performing 'Hold My Hand' from the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack saw Gaga donning none or very little makeup for the performance.

But before she flexed her vocals and performed to the audience, Gaga told everyone about the song.
She said: "It's deeply personal for me and I think that we all need each other, we need a lot of love to walk through this life.
"And we all need a hero sometimes, there's heroes all around us. In unassuming places, but you might find that you can be your own hero, even if you feel broken inside."

"I wonder how many people in the audience envied Lady Gaga for taking all the makeup, drip, and excess off for the performance and being so comfortable on stage," one person said.
"No makeup, converse, t-shirt & ripped jeans kind of #Oscars performance from Lady Gaga," a second added.
Meanwhile, a third said: "Lady Gaga stripping down completely of her makeup and gown really screamed 'I just love the music not the bling'."
The performance came after Gaga rushed to help a photographer after he fell on the Oscars red carpet.
Many viewers praised her for helping the photographer, with one tweeting: "Lady Gaga the only person who went back to help someone who fell on the red carpet…. this woman is is so kind and humble."
