TV presenter Nick Cannon has praised his ‘remarkable’ ex wife Mariah Carey, and called the Grammy Award-winning singer a ‘gift from God’.
The couple had been married for six years and had two children together, twins Moroccan and Monroe, before parting ways in November 2016.
Despite being separated for over six years, Cannon still has a lot of love for the singer.

The Hollywood couple first met in early 2008, when the America’s Got Talent star appeared in Carey’s 'Bye Bye' music video.
After a whirlwind romance, they were married just a few months later in a private ceremony in the Bahamas.
And in 2011, they welcomed their twins on their third wedding anniversary.

Though their romance seemed to be the stuff of fairytales, the couple would eventually separate in 2014 before divorcing in 2016.
But the 42-year-old still spoke highly of Carey in a recent interview with The Shade Room, where he reflected on his six-year marriage.
When asked who was the 'love of his life', Cannon said: "Like the greatest? I mean, I always talk about that. Then, it goes viral and all her fans get mad at me."

He also revealed that his ex-wife had been his crush when he was a preteen.
"I was 12 years old with Mariah Carey pictures on my wall, and that becomes my wife," he said, adding: "And the fact that she's the coolest person I ever met. She's just always happy, always doing for others. No matter what's happening in life."
Cannon even admitted that he found the 'Obsessed' singer to be even more incredible than he'd imagined.
"When I found that out about how remarkable she was, that woman is not human. She's a gift from God." he said.

And it’s not the first time that Cannon has spoken candidly about Carey.
In June 2022, he told The Hottee Talk Show that he would ‘always have love’ for Carey. He then called Carey's partner of five years, Bryan Tanaka, 'amazing'.
The TV host added that he 'respected' Tanaka, saying: "The dude is amazing with my kids and we have family gatherings and things together so I truly respect it.”

However, this hasn’t changed the way he feels about Carey, as he added: “But come on, that's my fantasy love. That's somebody that I will always love.
"I will never have a love like Mariah."
The father-of-twelve even said he would get back together with Carey, but only if everything was 'the way it was' before.
"It was literally like a fairy tale with Mariah, so I would rather it just be that way, and I appreciate that fantasy because if I try to go back and it wasn't the same, I'd be like, 'Damn, I messed it up,'
"But if I had the opportunity, if it could be the way it was, I'm there."
