Selena Gomez has gained almost 10 million new Instagram followers after somewhat of a scandal with Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, Kylie Jenner.
Selena's follower count totally skyrocketed after allegedly being 'mocked' by Kylie for a particularly controversial eyebrow lamination procedure.
Who would have known that eyebrows could be this dramatic?
Brow-gate all started on Tuesday (21 February) when Selena - who is also the founder of Rare Beauty - shared a video to her now-deactivated TikTok story in which she made fun about her own 'accidentally' over-laminated eyebrows.

In case you've never heard of the latest beauty craze, brow lamination involves the perming of your eyebrow hairs to provide a fuller, more even look.
However, Selena's brows appeared to be extra texturised and super lifted in her TikTok story.
Then, later that same day, Kylie took to her own Instagram story to post a close-up selfie which definitely got fans talking.
She captioned the shot: "This was an accident ?????"

The coincidence of timing and camera angle was enough to send the internet into a complete spiral with many theorising that Kylie's post was a brutal dig at Selena's brow-mare.
However, the reality TV star has since responded to the avalanche of allegations against her, suggesting that the fan theories were totally 'reaching'.
She wrote: "No shade towards Selena ever and I didn’t see her eyebrow posts! U guys are making something out of nothing. This is silly."

Just a day after the fiasco, the Kardashians star's Instagram following started to dip, with an initial drop of 124,711 followers, Social Blade data observes.
And, a few more days later, Kylie's follower count took a nose-dive for the worst.
The social media personality ended up losing almost one million followers on Instagram with a total loss topping in at a hefty 750,000 followers on Monday (27 February).

Not only have Kylie's following figures plummeted but Selena - who is now now taking a break from social media - has welcomed almost 10 million new followers to her account.
Talk about a silver lining.
On the day that Kylie allegedly 'mocked' Selena, the singer's following was at a staggering 380,240,643 followers, according to Social Blade.

Yet, just a week after the eyebrow incident, she now holds 389,473,120 followers.
If that's too many numbers to comprehend - see it this way - Selena gained way over nine million followers in a matter of just a week.
She has since explained in a recent TikTok live that she will be taking a much-needed break from certain social media platforms.
Selena told fans: "I’m 30 and am too old for this. But I love you so much and I’ll see you guys sooner than later.
"I’m just gonna take a break from everything."
Eyebrow raising indeed.
