Liz Hurley has told Shane Warne’s youngest daughter that she “loves” her, after she wrote an emotional Instagram post dedicated to her late father.
Summer Warne, 20, took to the photo-sharing platform to post a series of images of herself and Australian cricketing legend Shane, who suddenly died on Friday, age 52.

“There is no words [sic],” Summer’s post began. “It feels like I’m dreaming, waiting for someone to wake me up and tell me that you’re okay.
“I’d do anything to hear that laugh again, anything to hear your voice, anything to have one of your cuddles, anything to be with you again just one last time.
“You may not be alive dad, but you will forever live inside my heart, I will cherish the memories till my time is up on this earth and I am reunited with you again.”

The emotional post was spotted by Hurley, who had dated Shane between 2011 and 2013, with the actor leaving a heartfelt response for Summer.
“I love you, Summer,” she wrote. “Your daddy worshipped you.”
Hurley’s son, Damian, also expressed his condolences.
“I love you so much,” the 19-year-old wrote to Summer.

Hurley herself paid tribute to Shane shortly after his management confirmed news of his death in Koh Samui, Thailand, last week.
Commenting on Warne's passing, Hurley said on Instagram: "I feel like the sun has gone behind a cloud forever. RIP my beloved Lionheart @shanewarne23."
After just a few months of dating, Elizabeth and Shane were engaged, though the pair never made it down the aisle.

In more recent interviews, both Shane and Liz had confirmed they were still good friends.
He said in a recent showbiz chat: "I still care about her deeply and she’s a wonderful person.
"I suppose it was the sporting world meeting her world… It was one of those things where we just collided.

“When she first came to Australia we had been seeing each other for about six months or so, so I didn’t introduce her to my children until it was real and I believed it had a future - it wasn’t just a bit of fun.
“So six months down the track she finally comes to meet the children in Australia and it was an absolute circus."
Following his passing, Shane's management said in a statement: "Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived.
"The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course."
