Taylor Swift left fans in a state of shock when she announced her brand new album at the MTV Video Music Awards and now people are realising the release date happens to be Kim Kardashian's birthday.
During her speech after accepting the Video of the Year award on Sunday (28 August) Taylor confirmed that Midnights will be released on 21 October, which will also mark The Kardashian star's 42nd birthday.

One shocked fan tweeted: "NO WAIT KIM KARDASHIAN'S BIRTHDAY IS ON OCTOBER 21ST AND TAYLOR SWIFT IS RELEASING HER NEW ALBUM THE SAME DAY WHEN I TELL YOU THIS WOMAN".
Another Taylor Swift fan shared: "Oh taylor’s releasing on kim’s birthday? WE LOVE TO SEE HER BEING MESSY".
A third Twitter user also revelled in the news, writing: "TAYLOR NEW ALBUM IS ON KIM’S BD OHH".
While every music release falls on someone's special day, knowing the awkward situation between the 32-year-old musician - who has a penchant for hidden references and easter eggs - and the 41-year-old reality star, some fans are convinced it's not a coincidence.
Taylor and Kim’s highly publicised feud began in February 2016 when Kim’s estranged husband Kanye West released his song ‘Famous’.

The track featured the lines: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b*tch famous.”
The 45-year-old claimed at the time that he got Taylor’s blessing to include the controversial lyric, however Taylor’s team denied this, adding that the 'Shake it Off' singer was not aware of the line: “I made that b*tch famous.”
In July 2016, Kim posted videos to her Snapchat account showing Kanye’s phone conversation to Taylor.

Kanye reads the lyrics of the song to Taylor, however the pop superstar released a statement soon after the videos were leaked by Kim emphasising that she was not told about the 'b*tch' reference.
Taylor responded to the statement with a statement shared on Twitter shortly after the video’s release, which has since been deleted. “Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that b*tch’ in his song? It doesn’t exist because it never happened,” the statement began.
“You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that b*tch’ in front of the entire world.”

She finished the statement by stating she ‘would very much like to be excluded from this narrative’ and a reference to the infamous 2009 MTV VMAs mishap in which Kanye stormed the stage during Taylor’s acceptance speech.
After Kim referred to Taylor as a ‘snake’ on Twitter in 2016, the singer reclaimed the label by making it a theme for her album Reputation, released the following year.
The album’s first single, ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ reportedly addressed the feud, as did other tracks on the Grammy-nominated album.
