Fashion designer Victoria, 48, has now offered a very reasonable explanation about why she had her body art removed.
During an interview on the Today show on Thursday (13 October), Victoria clarified what happened to the tattoo. “I had these tattoos a long, long time ago and they just weren’t particularly delicate,” she shared.
“Mine were just a little bit thick and they were bleeding a little bit and they just weren’t as pretty,

Seemingly referencing the people who thought they were on the verge of parting ways, Victoria clarified: “They just didn’t look so nice. It doesn’t mean anything more than that.
“The media started to speculate, ‘Was I leaving my husband? No. I was just a bit sick of the tattoo. It’s as simple as that.”
The tattoo of David’s initials – D.B. – have completely vanished from her left wrist after fans noticed that it was fading for quite some time, or as we now know, was in the process of being removed.
This isn’t the first inking the former Spice Girl has had removed. Another design that referenced the date she renewed her wedding vows with the former Manchester United player - 8 May 2006 written in Roman numerals as VIII-V-MMVI - has vanished from the same wrist.

Victoria once had the words ‘together, forever, eternally’ written in Hebrew from the back of her neck and down her spine.
David and Victoria are still going strong and they were pictured enjoying a dinner date in New York City earlier this week.
The couple have been married since 4 July 1999 and they share four children; Brooklyn, 23, Romeo, 20, Cruz, 17 and Harper, 11.

Brooklyn exchanged vows with his wife, socialite and part-time actress Nicola Peltz in April this year at the private estate of Nicola's billionaire father in Palm Beach, Florida.
David, 47, is known for his body art and son Brooklyn also has an affinity for making declarations of love for his wife through his tattoo collection.
The 23-year-old shared an intimate black and white picture on Instagram Stories in May, which shows the occasional chef and photographer lounging in bed with his large collection of tattoos on full display.
The tattoo, which is written in cursive script, reportedly reads: “Nicola when you walked down the aisle you took my breath away you look so beautiful tonight and always. Let me start by saying that words cannot even describe my love for you just looking at you I see my future and it feels like a dream.

"You are my world and I continue to fall more in love with you every single day.
"Having you in my life is the best thing that has ever happened to me as you have made me become the man I am today.
“I have been looking forward to this day for so long, because today is the day I get to marry you, my forever babe, my love and my best friend, Nicola – today you become my partner, my other half – and my family and because of that I am the luckiest man in the world to be able to spend the rest of my life with you.
“I promise to be the best partner, the best husband and man and to always take care of you, to make you laugh, feel safe and more importantly loved.
“I can’t wait to live out our dreams together and have lots of babies and be yours forever because you are forever mine.”
