Following her appearance on the latest season of The White Lotus, actress Aimee Lou Wood has said she's been left 'saddened' by the amount of attention being paid to her teeth.
The TV star - famed for playing hippy-dippie astrology-lover Chelsea in the much-loved series, which sees her character take a trip to Thailand - previously brushed off conversations about her physical appearance, admitting she was proud of her gnashers.
Speaking to the the Hollywood Reporter in March, she explained: "These people live in Hollywood. I live in my little flat in South East London.

The 31-year-old added: "Even the way [White Lotus fans] are talking about me and my teeth - that I don’t have veneers or Botox - it feels a bit rebellious."
Wood was correct to have attained that her teeth have sparked much discussion from viewers of the show in recent weeks.

Sadly, however, some telly-watchers criticised her looks, bizarrely wondering whether her teeth were legitimate or a choice made by producers of the show.
"Aimee lou wood’s teeth p*ss me off," one admitted on social media recently.
Others, however, praised the Sex Education alum for her avoidance of having her teeth professionally altered.
"I really love Aimee Lou Wood’s teeth," one gushed. "It significantly makes her ten times more attractive to me."

However, Wood has recently changed her tune on the matter, claiming the ongoing discussion on her appearance has left her feeling 'a bit sad'.

"It makes me really happy that it’s symbolising rebellion and freedom, but there’s a limit," she began, before questioning weather a man with such a facial feature would receive as much attention.
Wood continued: "The whole conversation is just about my teeth, and it makes me a bit sad because I’m not getting to talk about my work.
"They think it’s nice because they’re not criticising. And, I have to go there…"
The on-screen favourite went on to admit: "I don’t know, if it was a man would we be talking about it this much? It’s still going on about a woman’s appearance."

In the interview, Wood also admitted she previously worried that HBO wouldn't want her to feature in her latest project on the grounds that she was 'ugly'.
"Someone told me how much Mike [White] had fought for me," she went on. "They said, 'It had to be you, no matter what HBO said'.
"It was honestly from the nicest place, but my little head goes: 'HBO didn’t want me. And I know why HBO didn’t want me, it’s because I’m ugly'.
"Mike had to say, 'Please let me have the ugly girl!'. That was the thing that was in my head."
