Amy Schumer has issued a warning to everyone in their 20s, posting hilarious before-and-after photos on Instagram to prove her point.
Comedian and actor Amy, 42, is known for not taking things too seriously, which is something we all love her for – especially in an age where social media pictures can often feel intimidatingly glossy and staged.
She’s previously spoken out about her desire to ‘keep it real’, having even allowed cameras into her life for 2020 docu-series Expecting Amy, which followed her pregnancy journey as she prepared to become a mum for the first time.

At the time, she told USA Today that her desire to depict an honest portrayal of pregnancy had been the main motivator, saying she wanted to ‘keep it real as hell’.
"All my friends have babies, but I hadn’t been exposed to how hard pregnancy is," she said.
"It’s really kind of painful, personal, intimate stuff that we – who’ve been friends for 30 years – had never talked about. So, I hope this opens up a conversation for a lot more women."

And it seems she’s still keen to be true to her authentic self... even if that means posting hilarious photos of herself grimacing away in a hospital gown.
Amy shared the photo as part of a before and after carousel on Instagram, the ‘before’ shots being glamorous shots taken from the red carpet of a Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne Barr back in August 2012.
“Warning 20 somethings I looked like this at your age,” she wrote, telling social media users to ‘swipe’.

“Life is coming for you.”
The ‘before’ pictures were from the red carpet of a Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne Barr back in August 2012 – at which point Amy would have actually been in her 30s (31, to be precise), which of course only adds to the joke.
A number of fellow female stars clearly felt Amy’s message rung true, with Olivia Wilde commenting with a skull emoji, and Wanda Sykes, Viola Davis and Michelle Pfeiffer all responding with laughing emojis.

“Hahahhahahhahhahah,” Amy Sedaris commented, while 26-year-old Camila Morrone quipped: “[I’m] already at last slide.”
It also resonated with many fans, too, with one commenting: “I saw a picture of myself from 2005 the other day and I haven’t fully recovered. “Life comes at ya fast.”
Someone else said: “Truth is we didn't appreciate our lovely selves when we had it goin on!!!!”

A third joked: “I would have taken nude photos, framed them and put them in the walls, sent them as Xmas cards. Hindsight 20/20.”
