What is largely a joyous time for Benny Blanco - who proposed to girlfriend Selena Gomez back in December - is sometimes tainted by doubts, the musician has revealed.
Speaking to Interview magazine this week, the 36-year-old producer made an honest confession about how he's been feeling about the engagement behind the scenes, claiming not everything is as it seems.
For those in need of a reminder, on 11 December, Disney Channel alum Gomez, 32, broke the news that Blanco had popped the all-important question after 18 months of dating.

In a collection of sweet photos captioned 'forever begins now...', the former Wizards of Waverley Place actress could be seen enjoying a picnic of Taco Bell products, donning a jaw-dropping new marquise diamond ring.
"Hey wait… that’s my wife," Blanco penned at the time.
In the weeks since making the announcement, the couple have hardly been able to keep their hands off one another, and have been ceaselessly papped packing on the PDA on award show red carpets.

As we say, however, music-maker Blanco has this week revealed that he's actually feeling unexpectedly vulnerable ahead of his nuptials, and lives in fear that his other-half might have second thoughts.
Revealing he's 'so scared' of losing Gomez, he initially told the outlet: "I worship the ground she walks on and I feel like she’s the same way to me. There’s no ego between us.

"She’s praying for me to win and I’m praying for her to win."

Elsewhere, Blanco admitted: "I just smile all day. I’m so scared she’s just going to wake up and be like, 'What? No.'"
Gomez - who was present for the interview - however, insisted he was 'stuck' with her now.
The producer went on to gush over his future wife: "I wake up in the morning—I know she does the same thing—and I’m like, 'How can I make her life better?'
"Holding her isn’t close enough. I want to be inside of her whole body. I just feel a thing for her that I can’t even explain. I’m so sappy."

Thankfully, Gomez seemingly lapped up his love, describing her fiancée's remarks as 'very romantic'.
The confession comes just days after 'Who Says' singer Selena took to Instagram (13 Feb) to reveal that she and Blanco had been working on another project - aside from wedding planning - behind the scenes.

Sharing a series of snaps with her beau on Instagram - which included shots of them in bed together and one of him kissing her on the cheek - she wrote in the caption: "I always trick you guys!
