Britney Spears has long-since been a consistent figure in the public eye with her brand-new memoir, The Woman in Me, which chronicles her major life events now finally out on bookshelves.
The 41-year-old 'Everytime' singer has been the centre of a fair few media frenzies over the past two decades, including her freighted relationship with Justin Timberlake, the real reason she shaved her head back in 2007 and the highly controversial conservatorship which she only broke free from in 2021.
While many know all about Spears and Timberlake's coupling - not as many people know about the ins and outs of her short-lived marriage to Jason Alexander, 42.
The book, which came out today (24 October), is said to be a 'brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope'.

The memoir's official blurb reads: "In June 2021, the whole world was listening as Britney Spears spoke in open court.
"The impact of sharing her voice—her truth—was undeniable, and it changed the course of her life and the lives of countless others.
"The Woman in Me reveals for the first time her incredible journey—and the strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history."

It continues: "Written with remarkable candour and humour, Spears’s groundbreaking book illuminates the enduring power of music and love—and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms, at last."
In the memoir, the mum-of-two shares the truth about the marriage to her childhood best friend whom she married in Las Vegas back in January 2004.
She revealed she was 'just honestly very drunk' when she said her vows and the pair were soon annulled just 55 hours later after first tying the knot.
She added: "He and I got s***faced. I don't even remember that night at all, but from what I've pieced together, he and I lounged around the hotel room and stayed up late watching movies - Mona Lisa Smile and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - then had the brilliant idea of going to A Little White Chapel at three thirty in the morning.

"People have asked me if I loved him. To be clear: he and I were not in love."
Spears continued: "I was just honestly very drunk and probably, in a more general sense at that time in my life, very bored."
While Spears saw the wedding as 'innocent fun', it's clear her family didn't think the same with them acting 'like [she'd] started World War III'.

"Everybody has a different perspective on it, but I didn't take it that seriously," she penned. "I thought a goof-around Vegas wedding was something people might do as a joke.
"Then my family came and acted like I'd started World War III. I cried the whole rest of the time I was in Las Vegas."
The Woman in Me is now available to purchase after being released today (24 October).
