Channing Tatum makes ‘horrifying’ admission on daughter watching Magic Mike for first time

Channing Tatum has revealed that the one role he's not looking forward to his daughter seeing is that of Magic Mike.

The 44-year-old actor recently opened up about his film history during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

During the interview, Channing discussed his latest role - Slater King in Blink Twice.

The movie is the directorial debut of Channing's fiancé, Zoë Kravitz, 35 - and the two met on set.

Channing has a daughter, Everly, 11, from his previous relationship with Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan, 43.

He opened up about taking Everly to see Taylor Swift perform during her global Eras Tour - and how it differed to when he went to see the singer with Zoë.

Channing said: "I saw it in LA with my daughter. Seeing it with your daughter is very different because you know, you gotta like go in. I was dancing like I’d never danced before."

Host Seth Meyers then quipped: "That's a lot coming from you", seeming to reference his role in Magic Mike, in which he plays a striptease performer.

Channing continued: “Well you also have to make sure you’re not dancing like you dance, you know what I mean?"

He added: "There was none of this," before doing a body roll. "There was zero of that."

The actor then mused: "I’m so grateful that she doesn’t know how I dance."

Seth then suggested that the day will one day come that Everly watches Magic Mike - although it probably won't be her dad that shows her the movie.

Channing replied: "It’s going to be horrifying when it does. But it’s a lot of like, this stuff and I’m just gonna keep it in that area," before mimicking some dad dancing, which included swinging his arms around.

Seth then guessed what will happen when Everly eventually sees the scenes.

He said: "She's gonna be the parent the first time she sees Magic Mike. You're gonna come home and she's gonna flip on a lamp and be like, 'We need to talk.'"

Channing replied: "The lamp will just be swinging above me."

The actor recently shared some photos he took of Everly when they attended a Renaissance Fair.

He captioned the snaps: "We love ourselves a renaissance fair. She said she wanted her character to be pirate assassin. I said, say less… not sure what i was other than a ghostly figure.

"Also dunked the clown in the water twice. They just talk so much shit! I was super proud hehe. Still got some left in the arm I guess. thanks Ren fair!! Full disclosure she has a hidden dagger in a hidden dress pocket. She felt so cool. lol."
