If there's one group of people you don't want to get on the wrong side of, it's Taylor Swift's army of ride-or-die fans, Swifties.
Well, Donald Trump has done just that after making a savage dig at the 'Cruel Summer' singer on social media.
In September 2024, Swift shared on Instagram that she intended to vote for Kamala Harris for US president in the upcoming election.

She wrote in a post: "I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.
"I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos."
The public endorsement of Harris by the 35-year-old seemingly caused Trump to throw his toys out the pram and just days later, he posted on his Truth Social platform, "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!" with no further context or elaboration.
He later claimed in an interview on Fox News that her 'was not a Taylor Swift fan' and said: "She'll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace."

And it seems the 78-year-old just can let it go as he once again took to Truth Social to make a dig at the star.
Earlier today (16 May) he wrote: "Has anyone noticed that, since I said 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' she’s no longer 'HOT?'" once again failing to elaborate.
Now, we're not too sure what the President's idea of 'hot' is but we think the global superstar, whose record-breaking Eras Tour made her wealthiest female musician in the world, is doing just fine.

Regardless, the comment sparked fury amongst Swifties who jumped on social media to defend their idol.
One fan pointed out on X (formerly Twitter): "Taylor Swift just wrapped up a two year world tour that broke every touring record in history and pulled in billions of dollars."
And another added: "And gave tons of money to food banks and charities along the way."

A third commented: "No one has 'noticed' this. Not one single person other than Trump thinks this."
Meanwhile a fourth said: "One of his worst takes ever and the competition is fierce.
And, even Democratic strategist and former Harris adviser Mike Nellis weighed in on the debate, writing: "Walmart and other retailers are hiking up prices because of the tariffs, and he's panicked about it—so we're going to see new levels of BS distractions, like him attacking Taylor Swift out of nowhere. It works well enough when you're a candidate, but not when you're in charge."
