Frances' godfather, the former frontman of R.E.M, Michael Stipe - who also officiated the wedding of the new parents - wrote: "With all the love and energy in the whole world."
The black-and-white photos show their newborn son swaddled in a blanket., another holding onto Frances' hand, and a third sweet snap shows Riley smiling while holding his son.
After publishing the photos, Frances shared them to her Instagram story while overlaying the song 'Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)' by John Lennon.

A romance between Frances and Riley was first shared with the world at the beginning of 2022 while she shared some memories of the previous year.
A selfie of the two was included, alongside the caption: "I took a year-long break from posting on Instagram which was exceptionally good for my mental, emotional & spiritual health.
"2021 brought me more into the present moment than I’ve ever been, which I’m deeply grateful for. I wanted to share a few moments that were captured / created this past year that brought me a great amount of joy.

"Here’s to hoping everyone’s 2022 is filled with authentic connections, a lot of warmth & profound discovery of self. Happy new year."
At the time, one fan seemed to predict the future.
They wrote: “If they had a child, their grandparents would be two of the largest icons from the nineties. Insane.”
Frances has previously spoken about the loss of her father, Kurt, who died by suicide in 1994.

She said to Rolling Stone: "Kurt got to the point where he eventually had to sacrifice every bit of who he was to his art, because the world demanded it of him.
"I think that was one of the main triggers as to why he felt he didn’t want to be here and everyone would be happier without him," she said, before noting: 'in reality, if he had lived, I would have had a dad. And that would have been an incredible experience.'
