Gwen Stefani has been married to country singer Blake Shelton for nearly four years, and now she’s opening up about a ‘third party’ in her marriage.
Stefani appeared on the Drew Barrymore Show to talk about her relationship with her The Voice colleague-turned-hubby in November.
Even though she talked about this last year, it seems as though the conversation is doing another round on social media and having revealed that there is a third party muscling in on her marriage, fans have been left with open mouths.

It was when Barrymore asked her: “What's the best advice you've ever received about love?”
Now, Stefani and Shelton have been together since 2015, and married in Oklahoma in 2021.
The pair look after Stefani’s sons that she shares with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, 18-year-old Kingston, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 11.

While it can be said that marriages can be hard work, thanks to a third ‘person’ in their relationship, Stefani believes that it’s all you need to really thrive together.
The 55-year-old responded to the host that the ‘best advice would probably be, make sure you have a third party’.
She then pointed her finger up to the sky to indicate God was the third party.
Having been raised as a devout Catholic, it’s no surprise that she and Shelton have welcomed religion into their marriage, but for fans, it was news to them.

One asked: “What the hell is this!”
Someone else claimed: “I'm just going to tell myself this is AI and continue with my life.”
A third said: “Gwen, I've loved you since I was eight years old back in the Tragic Kingdom days. I understand your faith is important to you but this is seriously cringe.”

Shortly after this interview, Stefani again divided fans when she promoted the Catholic prayer app Hallow which she said would be a great way to connect with family over the Christmas holidays.
She said in the video: “Christmas season has always been my favorite time of the year. It's the season that we get to celebrate the birth of our Lord.
“Join me and millions of other Christians around the world as we celebrate together the truth that God so loved the world that he gave us his only son.”
Even though many were stunned, others have shared that Stefani has always been a religious person.

A social media commenter stated: “Gwen has ALWAYS been a religious person. This is nothing new. She's just more vocal about it now.”
Another wrote: “Y'all do know Catholics are Christians, right? Stefani is Italian. What Italians do y'all know who aren't Catholic??”
A third wrote: “I really feel the need to defend her here! Gwen has always been open about her faith. She was raised Catholic and if anything her faith is part of why her and Blake fell for each other.”
The singer explained that ‘God put us together’ and that their pairing was a ‘miracle’ situation.
