Working alongside your family isn't the easiest of tasks, and it appears as if Mina Starsiak Hawk's relationship with her mum and brother has been affected as a result of doing so.
It isn't uncommon for people to collaborate with their loved ones; the likes of The Jackson 5, the Jonas Brothers and The Nolans all found success as family-centred musical groups, while acting siblings such as Luke and Owen Wilson, Casey and Ben Affleck, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have all worked side-by-side on the silver screen and appear to still have good relationships with one another.
But sadly the same can't be said for Starsiak Hawk and her brother Tad Starsiak, as well as their mother Karen Laine.

The trio starred on the reality show Good Bones together, and while it's all happy families on the show, behind closed doors isn't the same.
The series was created by both Starsiak Hawk and Laine and has had run for eight seasons.
Despite its success, Starsiak Hawk recently announced that the show won't be back for another series.

She shared on her Mina AF podcast last month: "It’s the end of an era. I had to say goodbye to some people today that I have spent my last almost 10 years with.
“Something I’m super, super proud of, and really grateful to the network for is making a show for the last eight years that, for the huge majority of the time, has been super representative of who I am… and it was really important to me from the beginning to do that.”
Elsewhere, the 38-year-old discussed the relationship with her mum and brother.

"The current state of affairs is my mom and I aren't in a great place," she said. "My brother Tad and I aren't in a great place."
But there hasn't been an argument between them to cause the strain on their relationship; Starsiak Hawk stated that they now simply 'exist' around one another to keep her father happy.
"Is it just fine that they're surface level?" she went on to ask rhetorically. "Like, you don't have to be best friends with everyone — whether it's friends or family."
But Starsiak Hawk did appear to praise her for being 'a good grandparent'.

The actor explained: "I feel like sometimes I set myself up with these grand expectations... I think a lot of times we think about our parents and we're like 'Wow, you were a sh*tty parent. Why are you such a good grandparent?'"
Despite only having a 'surface level' relationship with her mother, it may not be the end of their working relationship.
Upon the news of Good Bones coming to an end, HGTV told Variety in a statement that they're 'currently in talks with Mina and Karen about other projects'.
