There are plenty of reasons to join OnlyFans and not all of them are purely sexual.
Harry Potter actress Jessie Cave has revealed she will be adding a new income stream alongside her acting and comedy skills, and is joining OnlyFans to share paid-for content. Whilst creators on the subscription platform typically tend to be towards the more adult side of content, it's not always the way.
Cave, who is best known for her role in the Harry Potter films as Lavender Brown, has now revealed she's going to be creating content based around her hair for the website.

The content will be non-sexual but with what she describes as a 'slutty Mormon' vibe.
Speaking on her Before We Break Up Again podcast, Cave explained her reasons for signing up, telling listeners: "I’m launching an OnlyFans, it’s not a sexual one. It’s a fetish. Fetish doesn’t necessarily mean sexual."
She revealed she would be leaning into the ASMR side of things as she will be offering paid subscribers 'the best quality hair sounds' and sharing 'very sensual stuff'.

She continued: "It's very much geared toward people who have an interest or fetish with hair. I do a lot of videos with my hair on Instagram and I have now for a while. I just noticed that I always get comments.
"They’re never sexually depraved or lascivious. It's never dirty comments, but I do get lots of interest in the hair thing and I just thought, 'F**k it, I'm going to do something that is very niche'."
In another moment she revealed the decision to join the website has been 'liberating'.

She explained: "I really am choosing to think of this as an empowering moment for me because I have been this very straight, prim actress for a lot of my career and this is very much a way of me saying, 'Okay, I'm doing something that is not normal. This is weird and me and a bit kinky. And why not?'"
The actress and mum-of-four has also given more insight into her decision to join OnlyFans on her Substack newsletter.
She wrote: "One year. I’ll try for one year. My aim? To get the house safe, cover the arsenic/lead wallpaper, build a new roof etc.
"My aim? To get out of debt. My aim? To empower myself? To prove to those in the past who have misjudged me that I’m not so sweet? To put time into something I never invested in before: self-love.

"Were my years of Harry Potter conventions in fact research? [It feels] like I’m doing something naughty, something a little f**ked up. I like that. Ripping up the good little actress rule book."

In joining the OnlyFans website, Cave is joining thousands of creators who make money from their paid for content.
Whilst data suggest that the average creator typically earns around $150 to $180 per month, there are many creators who have spoken out about being able to earn six figures on a monthly basis from their accounts.

Last year singer Lily Allen revealed she earns a hefty fee from sharing pictures of her feet online, as she shared: "Imagine being an artist and having nearly 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify but earning more money from having 1000 people subscribe to pictures of your feet.
"Don’t hate the player, hate the game."
