Despite the success of her best-selling book series, Harry Potter author JK Rowling has been deemed a rather controversial character in recent years.
So much so, that her views on transgender rights have seen her estranged from members of the Wizarding World, with many actors from the franchise having since cut ties with the writer.

Among those to have separated themselves from her are Daniel Radcliffe, who played the titular role in the eight magical movies, and Emma Watson, famed for her portrayal of Hermione Grainger.
And apparently, their remarks about Rowling's questionable views have left the author insisting she'd 'never forgive' them.
For those out of the loop with the author's stance on certain LGBTQ+ issues, back in 2020, Rowling, 58, launched a Twitter tirade against the trans community in response to an article about 'people who menstruate'.

"'People who menstruate'. I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?" she wrote on the social media site at the time.
Naturally, Rowling subsequently faced a wave of backlash, much of which was sent from her former Harry Potter colleagues, with Radcliffe and Watson speaking out on the issue with a bombshell statement.
While Radcliffe apologised for the 'pain' the author had inflicted upon the trans community, Watson told her fans: "I want my trans followers to know that I and so many other people around the world see you, respect you and love you for who you are."

And while many considered the awkward matter between the former friends over, in April this year, Rowling continued her rant.
Posting on Twitter about Hilary Cass' review on gender services for UK children, she called the policy 'the most robust review of the medical evidence for transitioning children that's ever been conducted', and alleged that the findings showed that 'kids have been irreversibly harmed'.
Unsurprisingly, it wasn’t long before even further backlash came - although one of her defenders wrote in response to the post: "Just waiting for Dan and Emma to give you a very public apology ... safe in the knowledge that you will forgive them..."

However, Rowling then replied to say that they were ‘not safe’ in the knowledge of being forgiven by her.
"Not safe, I'm afraid," she wrote.
"Celebs who cosied up to a movement intent on eroding women's hard-won rights and who used their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors can save their apologies for traumatised detransitioners and vulnerable women reliant on single sex spaces."
In turn, many others came to Radcliffe and Watson's defence, arguing that Rowling had taken their comments as a 'personal attack' on her.

One fumed: "Perhaps Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson won't forgive JK Rowling for her transphobia. Has she thought of that?"
Another said: "This genius thinks JK Rowling literally gave birth to Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson. Utterly lunatic.
"But even if she did, that would not compel them to agree with her. Children don't have to agree with their parents."
LADbible Group contacted representatives for Radcliffe and Watson for comment. A representative for Rowling declined to comment.
