Kate Garraway has shared a worrying update on her husband Derek Draper, revealing he's 'not doing well'.
The Good Morning Britain star, 56, host rocked up to the Pride of Britain red carpet on Sunday night (8 October) in London and opened up about the declining health of her other half - also 56.
Kate has been caring for Derek - the former Labour lobbyist who she married back in 2005 - who has suffered some serious medical complications since he contracted Covid-19 back in 2020 including kidney failure, brain inflammation and liver damage.
Both Kate and Derek caught Covid-19 early in the pandemic but while her case was mild, her husband was hospitalised and placed into a coma.

While he was previously discharged on a trial basis back in April 2021, Derek has since been readmitted to hospital wards multiple times with Kate remaining fairly consistent in issuing updates on his health to the public since.
Derek was in hospital for over a year and has been receiving round the clock care on the ground floor of the couple's London home following the devastating effects he has suffered from long Covid.
When asked by the Metro about the condition of her husband on Sunday night, Garraway revealed: "He’s not doing great, to be honest."

However, clearly remaining resilient and hopeful on the matter, the ITV host added: "But the battle goes on."
It comes after Kate detailed the impact long Covid was having on Derek last month, explaining he can't breathe oxygen or expel carbon dioxide efficiently which is 'slightly poisoning his body all the time'.
In an interview with the Sunday Times, Kate said he needed 'respiratory rehab', which is a series of exercises which helps the lungs recover.
Derek also unfortunately developed a 'weird choking' condition, with Kate describing a particularly distressing moment which occurred during a carer handover where she and her son were unable to do anything to help her husband.

"It happened again just last weekend," Kate revealed. "For absolutely no reason he just went blue."
Thankfully, Derek 'sort of vomited' and both of his carers high-fived, with Kate saying they 'knew they'd had a really near miss'.
