Every year, Capital's Jingle Bell Ball is something to look forward to as it brings a load of the hottest pop stars together for us to obsess over - but Katy Perry has received criticism for her performance.
The 40-year-old 'I Kissed A Girl' singer took to the stage at London's O2 Arena last week, though the event was broadcast on ITV for those at home just last night (15 December).
It was a star-studded affair, with hosts of Capital Radio Jordan North, Sian Welby and Chris Stark hosting and welcoming the likes of Coldplay, KSI and Perrie Edwards.

Perry, who released her album 143 in September, performed a number of her popular hits alongside newer songs.
While it's easy to assume the singer would have gone down a treat with viewers due to her sheer number of bops, it seems that wasn't the case.
One person wrote on X: "She should retire."

Another said: "Katy Perry needs to stop trying to make Katy Perry happen again. Leave it in the 2010s girl #CapitalJBB."
Someone else added: "Katy, there's no shame in miming. Yours sincerely, My Ears. #JingleBellBall."
While a lot of the reaction was truly savage, it wasn't all that way.
Many viewers leapt to Perry's defence, praising her performance.

One person penned: "Wow @katyperry you was amazing and I’ve got respect for you because you didn’t mime like some artists do. It’s not easy to sing and dance live so well done girl xx #CapitalJBB #JBB."
A second said: "Best time of my life at the capital jingle bell ball, Coldplay amazing as ever, Katy Perry omg awesome, what a weekend, loving life."
Perry's Jingle Bell Ball performance is set to be followed by an appearance as a guest judge on the next season of RuPaul's Drag Race - with the next batch of episodes set to drop in January 2025.

Though Perry's comment used in a teaser clip for the iconic show have drawn criticism.
Complimenting one of the contestants, she says: "She ate, she chewed, she swallowed."
The comments have been compared to the way previous judges spoke about past drag queens.
One person wrote on X: "Gaga would never say something like this, that's why she gets taken seriously."

A second said: "Don't know she always comes off pretentious with this era, like everyone said, it looks like she's trying so hard to appeal to the point it looks like it's just an act for marketing."
Though, of course, many people defended the star online.
One fan clapped back: "If anyone else said this you would all be captioning your next selfie with it."
Tyla has contacted representatives for Katy Perry for comment.
