Khloé Kardashian has candidly revealed how difficult it was to name her son, Tatum Thompson.
The youngest Kardashian sister, 39, recently appeared on the She MD podcast to discuss parenting and relationship woes with hosts Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi and Mary Alice Haney.
During the recent podcast episode, 'Khloé Kardashian on Surrogacy, Dating and Taking the Time to Heal', the businesswoman announced it took her eight months to name her one-year-old son.
Discussing the parenting struggle with the co-anchors, she began: “So Tatum’s a little different of a story, I like unique names but not off-the-wall names.

“I think our family has enough off-the-wall names. I didn’t want to have too much craziness.
“I actually didn’t legally Tatum for I think maybe eight months? I know it was a long time and I am embarrassed to say that.”
When probed to divulge what she would call her son at home, Khloé revealed she would use a varied range of monikers.
“None of them I liked,” she explained. “We would always call him baby or I would call him papa all the time.

“Papa was a lot that I would use but that was tough for me.”
Elsewhere, the Good American founder admitted she found it more difficult to connect with her son - who she welcomed via surrogacy - compared to her daughter, True, six.
“It’s interesting because I wasn’t carrying him so I didn’t really feel anything.

“With True, I could feel things about her or when I would pray at night we would have our conversations and I just felt True’s spirit.”
Khloe added that she believes comparison is the ‘thief of joy’ when it comes to surrogacy versus natural birth, and urges people not to compare their fertility journey to others.
The Kardashians star shares both Tatum and True with her ex-boyfriend, NBA star Tristan Thompson, 33.
The pair first began dating in 2016 and welcomed their daughter True two years later.

In February 2019, the couple split after it was alleged that the Canadian basketball player had been unfaithful.
The duo resumed their relationship in the summer of 2020 before splitting and rekindling their romance on multiple occasions.
In July 2022, the pair announced the birth of Tatum via a surrogate - shortly after it was revealed Thompson had fathered a child with another woman.
