Kieran Culkin took a hilarious swipe at Adrien Brody during his acceptance speech at the annual 31st SAG Awards which took place in Los Angeles over the weekend (23 February).
The 42-year-old actor playfully teased Brody, 51 while accepting the accolade for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in Jesse Eisenberg’s comedy-drama A Real Pain.
The other nominees included Jonathan Bailey for Wicked, Yura Borisov for Anora, Edward Norton for A Complete Unknown, and Jeremy Strong for The Apprentice.
Presented the award by The Last Showgirl star, Pamela Anderson, Culkin noted how 'incredibly heavy' the trophy was before joking how it was 'funny' that he 'heaviest of all awards is the one given by actors'.

"This is a really heavy award,” the A-lister continued, before reminding Brody of the 45-second 'allotted time' for acceptance speeches.
"I don’t think there’s any way anyone can hold this for 45 seconds, which is the allotted time, Adrien Brody - 45 seconds," he quipped.
As Brody and the rest of the audience erupted into laughter, Culkin then clarified: "There was no reason to take that shot. I love you; it’s a joke. You take your time. Lord knows I will 'cause I didn't think of anything."

Continuing his speech, the Succession star explained a little more about his role in the hit comedy-drama flick: "For those of you who don’t know, [Jesse] cast me in this movie without auditioning me or seeing my work or seeing me in anything ever… which he thinks is normal and I can’t even get into how annoyingly wrong he is.
"But he cast me because his sister told him to. And he puts a lot of faith in her, which is really sweet but dumb. So yes, thank you Jesse for putting me in this movie.
"But I want to take a moment to thank Hallie: Thank you, Hallie, for thinking of me and putting my name into your stupid brother’s ear.
"It’s hard to be sincere," Culkin added. "But it’s actually a huge honour."

Brody was also nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for his role in The Brutalist, along with Timothée Chalamet for A Complete Unknown, Daniel Craig for Queer, Colman Domingo for Sing Sing, and Ralph Fiennes for Conclave.
It was 29-year-old Chalamet, however, who cinched the title.
"I was not expecting this at all," he said before saying: "I know the classiest thing would be to downplay the effort that went into this role and how much this means to me, but the truth is this was five and a half years of my life. I poured everything I have into playing this incomparable artist, Mr Bob Dylan, a true American hero, and it was the honour of a lifetime playing him."
